Saturday 21st July 2012 was another awesome day for NZ students; who used the opportunity of the ruling National Party Conference hosted at SkyCity Casino (yes, THAT Sky City…) to push their message that education cuts, privatisation and forced austerity measures were NOT going to be taken lying down.

They did a brilliant job of organising this public event, which had many new features including NLG-style Legal Observers, free ‘Red Square’ pins for everyone and a welcoming crew that approached & chatted with members of the public throughout the day. The level of thought that had gone into the event really impressed us.

Guts being torn out of SA film industry

The South African film and TV industry is being destroyed. Despite alleged “growth”, a heartless, ruthless industry continues to cut a cruel bloody swathe through its members, most of whom own their own businesses or are freelance technical crew. Screen Shot 2017-02-21 at 19.49.09.png

The latest casualty is Clive Sacke, a talented Director of Photography, who committed suicide this past weekend. New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Pisces – The Final Chapter

On the 25th – 26th of February we have an extremely powerful New Moon and Solar Eclipse at 8° in Pisces.

This Solar Eclipse and New Moon is extremely potent – Why that?

First and foremost, Eclipses are powerful because they conjunct one of the Nodes of the Fate. This Solar Eclipse in Pisces is closely conjunct the South Node of the Moon, the point of Karma – everything  we should, but cannot – leave behind.

Then, the ruler of this New Moon, Neptune, is actually conjunct the New Moon/Solar Eclipse! This is extremely extremely important – it is like having an Eclipse in Scorpio conjunct Pluto, or an Eclipse in Aquarius conjunct Uranus.
